Summer Cocktail Inspiration - 4 easy & elegant gin cocktail recipes
Easy peasy lemon squeezy cocktails for Summer evenings with friends. Try some simple, refreshing and light cocktails made from everyday ingredients you'll find in your kitchen and garnish with garden flora.
Floral Gin Lemonade Cocktail
Ingredients (serves 1)
- Ice
- 60ml (2oz) Atlantic Distillery x Whistlefish Cornish Wildflower Gin
- 200ml (6-7oz) Rose Lemonade (We used Fentimans)
- 7ml (1/4oz or teaspoon) Fresh lemon juice
- 2-3 Sprigs of fresh mint
- Rose petals
- Decorate with a fresh flowers (see list of edible flowers at the bottom of this page)
Method:
- In a cocktail mixer, add ice, a sprig of fresh mint, a couple of rose petals and gin. Close and shake. This will release the mint and floral flavours.
- Use a strainer and strain everything over the ice and into the serving glass.
- Pour in Rose Lemonade.
- Stir, then decorate with mint and flowers and serve.
Lavender Bees Knees
A floral spin on a classic 'Bees Knees' cocktail
Ingredients (serves 1)
- Ice
- 60ml (2 oz) Atlantic Distillery x Whistlefish Orange and Lavender Gin
- 20ml (0.75 oz) Lemon juice
- 20ml (0.75 oz) Honey syrup or honey
- Garnish with lavender, orange slice and/or honeysuckle
Method:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail mixer, shake, pour into a glass, decorate with flowers/ fruits and serve.
Rosemary Gin Cocktail
Ingredients (serves 1)
- Ice
- 60ml (2 oz) fresh orange juice
- 30ml (1 oz) tonic water
- 30ml (1 oz) Atlantic Distillery x Whistlefish Gorse Gin
- Fresh rosemary springs
Method:
Add ingredients to a glass, stir, add rosemary & serve in a short glass/ mason jar
Wildflower Rickey
Ingredients (serves 1)- Ice
- 45ml (1.5 oz) Atlantic Distillery x Whistlefish Cornish Wildflower Gin
- 20ml (0.75 oz) Lime juice
- 45ml (1.5 oz) Soda water or sparkling water
- Cucumber slices
- Lime wedges
Method:
Mix all ingredients, gently stir & serve in mason jar / Prosecco glass. Garnish with cucumber slices and lime wedges
