Nicola Hancox

Nicola, who now works from her home in St Ives, is surrounded by the most beautiful colours and sounds of the sea.

At 16, she attended Walsall College of Art and completed a two-year Art Foundation course followed by a BA Hons Three Dimensional (Interior) degree at Leicester Polytechnic.

After running her own successful handmade greeting card business, she started painting full time in 1996.

Her inspiration comes from walking along the beautiful Cornish beaches, with their ever-changing light and tides, and the cry of the gulls, sound of the waves and the constantly changing images of where the land meets the sea.
